BATON ROUGE, LA – Pamela Egan just added another feather to her cap.
The Covington resident is already considered a humanitarian, community leader, and progressive healthcare provider, serving as the current President of the Junior League of Greater Covington, founder/owner of Egan Healthcare Services, practicing Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health & Anti-Aging.

“It’s an honor that Governor-elect Bobby Jindal thought enough about Nurse Practitioners to include us on this important committee. With the current physician shortages, Nurse Practitioners will play a critical role in providing affordable Primary Care to the uninsured and to rural areas. I am honored to a part of this impressive group & look forward to participating in what ever way that I can.”
The Health Care Transition Advisory Council’s Health Care Group will conduct public hearings to collect testimony and make recommendations to Governor-Elect Jindal on health care issues pertaining to his Health Care Reform plan announced during his campaign.
The Health Care Advisory Council is one of seven transition advisory councils, also including economic growth, education, ethics, hurricane recovery and emergency preparedness, government and fiscal reform, and crime and public safety – all reflective of the seven policy chapters Jindal unveiled during his campaign. There are also two special committees which will examine issues pertaining to Veterans Affairs and Wildlife and Fisheries.
The Health Care Transition Advisory Council’s Health Care Group held its first public hearing Monday, November 19 at the LSUHSC in Shreveport.
